Im setting $50 bucks aside for this game already. Junction Point Studios is paying hommage to one the greatest cartoon characters ever made  & showing off some of his hijinx side too in this Wii exclusive title.

The game will take place in a theme park called Cartoon Wasteland, home to the more obscure and rejected creations of a sorcerer named Yen Sid (read it backwards stoops!). Mickey who accidentally spills paint and thinner onto a model when fiddling around the sorcerers study creates a monster called the Phantom Blot. The monster trys to take over control of the Wasteland from Mickeys big half-brother Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

So then its Mickeys job to destroy the Phantom Blot, gain the trust of his jealous half-brother Oswald (whos thunder was kinda of taken by Mickey), and ultimately save Cartoon Wasteland.
Some other awesome things of the game is that it will include cameos by not only all the classic Disney characters but some of the more forgotten and cult characters as well. Also, there will be some sweet ass 2D side scrolling inbetween levels (mostly themed around older Disney shorts).
Another big awesome factor in the game is how different the gameplay will be, based on the player’s choices. Your actions will either have you hailed as “Hero” or the mischievous “Scrapper”. Which will influence greatly what side quests, alliances, power ups, and things like that you will get.
You’ll also be able to create sketches with your magical paintbrush, like you can sketch a clock to slow down time or a TV to distract enemies.
Not to mention the game has a killer sci fi-trippy-naughty-eerie atmosphere that I’m loving.

Epic Mickey is set to be released as of right now on September 16th, 2010.
