Aliens vs. Predator demo confirmed for Thursday–Joystiq

As hinted at by an Xbox Live Spotlight ad which briefly appeared yesterday, a demo for Aliens vs. Predator will be released on Xbox Live, PSN and Steam tomorrow. A Sega Europe blog post which announced the demo’s imminence revealed that the trial gives players access to all three of the game’s species, who can battle it out Deathmatch-style on one of AvP’s multiplayer maps. You can bet we’ll hop on this one as soon as it’s available — who knows, maybe the fanged proboscis which will soon bore into your skull will belong to one of us!

I’m actually going to try this out this weekend. We are supposed to get a vicious snow storm Friday into Saturday, so what’s better than snowed in the house with some quality time with my beloved PS3.

Played it last night on the 360. It’s crazy!
Weird as shit playing as the alien. You can transition on to any surface by holding the right trigger, so you can be upside down on the roof, scrabbling around until you want to drop on someone.
Haven’t had the chance to play as a predator or marine yet, but overall a very different experience. More to COME

Nice, I remember playing one of the AvP games for PC back in the late 90′s that allowed you to be the alien too. Had the same play by the sounds of it, allowing the alien to climb walls and ceilings. Me thinks I will get this game, should be fun.
