ScrewQuizzo: A Classic Video Game Competition
JerseyJosh : June 3, 2010 1:28 pm : Tournaments/Events
ScrewQuizzo, a collaborative effort between the musical group Agent Moosehead and Plug and Play Events combines the excitement of in-person video game competitions (featuring Nintendo, Atari, Wii, and more), with the entertainment of a live musical event – in the form of a ‘themed’ set of video game music provided by Agent Moosehead.
These events are advertised as a refreshing alternative to typical bar events like “Quizzo” (screw it!) and can be provided at a variety of venues, locations, parties, etc.
The group is hyping their upcoming ‘video game’ themed events! the first official event will be on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at The Note in West Chester, Pennsylvania and will feature games from Nintendo (including: Super Mario 3, Tetris, Duck Hunt, Excitebike, and more). Attendees can win some prizes and listen to some Japanese music – re-arranged and performed by Agent Moosehead. Tickets are three dollars in advance, five at the door.

Yes folks, you heard it right. According to reports, Capcom
is all set to announced the latest installment of their highly successful fighting game series, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, this week..
PlanetXbox360 is reporting that the game was already shown at last weeks Captivate event in Hawaii and will hopefully announced tomorrow, as soon as the game embargo is lifted. Here’s a brief summary from the announcement:
- Confirmed characters so far are Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk
, Magneto, Storm and a few others will return. - The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 development team said they will be blowing fans out of the water with the sheer number of characters this game includes on the disc.
- This will be another 2D fighter — gameplay-wise — but will be something of a cross between the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 4.
- The rumored release date is late 2010 or early 2011 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
, no plans right now for other systems. - The game will run in 1080p resolution.
- It will be a disc-based release.
- Apparently the game will have unlockables again.
- Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be playable at this year’s E3 which is held on June 15 – 17th
Update
Unfortunately, the event had to be postponed. Stay tuned for a reschedule.
