This guys freaks the fuck out!!!

Was stoked to download the Aliens Vs Predator demo the other week.  While the movies sucked, I was really interested in playing as each character.  My thinking was, this would make a great mix for online play and offer a good deal of replay value in the single player campaign.

Long story short, the demo–which only featured multiplayer–dumps you into death matches with NO INSTRUCTIONS!!!  You get about 15 seconds of looking at the controls, before being dumped into the blood bath.  As if I’m not a bad enough spaz normally!?!?  Let me tell ya, getting stuck into a match with the alien, which is a completely unfamiliar class, was a murderous nightmare.  I got killed 50 fucking times before I figured out what the “focus” mode did.  Horribly filthy cursing ensued…

It seems that this method of “trial by fire” is happening more and more in game demos.  Maybe I’m overly competitive in multi-player games, or just in general, but this bugged the shit out of me.  Has anyone else been bugged by a lack of instruction in a demo, or while we’re at it, a full game?

Will be a great weekend for gaming–at least after I spend the next 4 hours digging us out–so make sure to hit me up (if you’re not on my friends list, make sure to put “Game Casa” in your request).  Will be on Xbox Live this weekend, playing any of the following: Alien vs Predator MP (Demo), Borderlands, Trials HD, Chime, Dead or Alive 4, Blitz 2, Darksiders, Dirt 2, or Gears of War 2.
