The most mismatched and weird battles since Bambi vs. Godzilla — Joystick Division
Marvel Vs. Capcom still has surreal moments, pitting, say, Iron Man against Ryu or Magneto against Dhalism. Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe is an odd yet addictive crossover, too, because Scorpion can incinerate Batman, Supes, and Wonder Woman.
But the weirdest fighting game crossovers aren’t sanctioned. Not at all. They come from the fantasies of game designers using MUGEN, a freeware game engine. Consider it the root cause of all this beautiful randomness. Here are 10 completely strange, completely unofficial fighting game crossovers that are worth checking out (and downloading if you’re savvy).
10) Flash Vs. Everyone

This is an utterly absurd montage of the Scarlet Speedster getting whipped by characters from Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Metal Gear, etc. We think Faust’s nuclear blast comes out on top here.
9) Deadpool & Ash Vs. Bulleta & Robocop

No one really knows what’s going on either, but it’s apparent that Robocop is no match for the Book of Dead. Does Bulleta call that fighting?
8) Mortal Kombat vs Homer and Peter

Homer and Peter are reliable partners in MUGENdom. Peter is useless in this matchup, though. Homer meets his end after an ill-timed hamburger break, getting the brunt of Scorpion’s fatality.

Some of you may not have seen this. But make sure you watch it to the end to get a clue of what it really is. Regardless of the intent, this thing was one of the most popular pieces of internet webfun to hit the gaming circles a few years back. With the production value that went into it, IGN could have done a five minute webisode year long webisode series, but it never went further than this.
Completely bizarre ‘LSD’ game coming to PSOne Classics–Joystiq

So, LSD: Dream Emulator is the weirdest game ever made by anybody. After becoming entranced by the hours of footage from the game currently on YouTube, we feel like we can make that statement with complete certainty. The game features no plot or any goals to speak of whatsoever — it only tasks the player with taking short, ten-minute jaunts through areas inspired by a dream journal kept by a staff member of its Japanese developer, Asmik Ace Entertainment, who may or may not have been tripping on LSD at the time.
If that sounds like something you can get behind, you’ll be pleased to learn the game’s creator, Osamu Sato, recently announced on Twitter that the game would be coming to the PSOne Classics storefront on PSN. Of course, it’s unlikely the game will come to the U.S. store, as the title was never localized for the States. That’s no problem, though — you might be able to find it at your favorite online auctions site for upwards of $200. That’s a small price to pay for immeasurable weirdness!

In one of those “why couldn’t I be 15 now” cases, Christine Shreeve Hubbs, an attractive, 42-year-old Mormon mother of three and wife of a dentist, was arrested last week by Livermore, CA police. She was charged with 67 felony counts of sexual assault for multiple trysts with young teenage boys, many in her 2006 black Hummer that gave her the
neighborhood nickname “the Hummer Mom.” As well as Visa cards and food, Hubbs used Xbox 360 systems to make the boys more agreeable to gettin their freak on. She would basically give them Microsoft in exchange for Microhard. Nude photos of Hubbs were discovered on the cell phone of one of the victims, and police obtained a warrant for the woman. Turns out that as well as being a sexual predator, Hubbs was also pretty stupid, as cops discovered not only sexual text messages, but photographs of her having sex with the kids. It is unknown whether or not the boys got to keep the Xboxes.

So this story goes as follows: It is a quiet summer night at PC Gamerz, a gaming cafe in Kaneohe, Hawaii. People are playing Xbox, WoW, some are enjoying the newness of Starcraft 2, all are hopped up on caffeine. However, a couple of dirty shitbags have plans for the gamers. Two thug life wannabes enter PC Gamerz and intimidate the gamers with… their masks and hand movements. The thugs start to punch clerks right in the snotbox and some of the gamers don’t even notice until the crooks turn their attention on one of them and try to take his Nintendo DS. Well that gamer wasn’t taking any shit. The gamers basically form a raid on the robbers, holding them down until Horde reinforcements come in to rescue their guild mate.
The assholes were captured a short distance away. The heroic gamers are likely planning on taking full advantage of their celebrity by enjoying the vagina that should hopefully be landing at their feet.

Filmed in New Orleans this past April, Video Games Live looks to take audiences on a musical journey through classic gaming. The concert features the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by VGL’s co-founder, Jack Wall; a 34-person chorus; a number of soloists including pianist Martin Leung, flautist Laura Intravia and singers Vangie Gunn, Kendrew Heriveaux, Ron Ragin and Cindy Shapiro; plus a rock band featuring Tallarico on guitar; and a full complement of state-of-the-art lighting, lasers and special effects.
The impressive musical performances can be seen later this week by most PBS viewers. Exact dates and airtimes will vary from region to region, so head over to http://www.pbs.org/tvschedules/ to find when your PBS station is airing Video Games Live.
Coinciding with the PBS showing is a CD and a DVD/Blu-ray release which will also feature three additional hours of bonus material, including additional and extended music segments, composer and game developer interviews, exclusive game trailers, “making the game” documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage and composer commentary. So even if you live outside the US, chances are you will be able to catch it. It looks to be a pretty interesting show, if only for the fact you get to see Jamie Lee Curtis gush over World of Warcraft.
The musical ensemble will be playing classic video game music from the following games:
Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Halo, Final Fantasy,Chrono Cross, Castlevania, God of War, Civilization IV, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Classic Arcade Medley
